What you will do
As Senior Product Development & Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will guide gitti’s product development activities across the nail, makeup, and care categories during a maternity leave cover until April 2027.
You will manage and guide the Project Manager ensuring cross-functional alignment, smooth gateway process execution, and timely delivery of launches. In addition, you will manage formula development for key nail innovations and oversee efficiency testing.
You will be the central point of expertise for all regulatory topics across the gitti product portfolio to ensure compliance of our products with EU, UK, and US cosmetics regulations.

Your tasks:
- Own and deliver the 2026 product roadmap, ensuring timely execution and prioritization. Monitor the approved budget and resource allocation.
- Define the 2027 product roadmap and related budget in close collaboration with Management.
- Manage and guide the Project Manager, ensuring cross-functional alignment, gateway process execution, and timely delivery of launches.
- Drive major nail innovations per year that require technical expertise by managing the formula development process in close collaboration with external laboratories.
- Oversee external testing processes (esp. efficiency testing) for all new product developments.
- Own all regulatory processes (internal and external), ensuring compliance with EU, UK, and US requirements. Closely monitor updates of the regulations.
- Conduct product notifications for the different markets and review PIFs.
- Ensure correct product labeling and communication by providing necessary information and supporting the artwork creation and approval process.
- Act as primary contact with regulatory authorities on product safety and compliance topics, ensuring timely and transparent communication.
- Design, implement, and maintain a structured product safety and recall process, including risk assessment, authority communication, and cross-functional execution.
- Train and advise internal stakeholders (e.g. Copywriter, Customer Service) on product-specific questions and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that new product packaging meets the requirements of the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) coming into effect in August 2026. Develop and oversee a long-term compliance strategy for the existing portfolio, tracking deadlines and adapting to evolving PPWR requirements.
